CHEESEBURGER MAC IT IS

It’s time to think about needs for the Community Cupboard again.  I know some of these are familiar but they are the big movers and some are items they are always short on.  So let’s help them stock those shelves during that short cold month of February.  Here are this month’s needs:

ü Tuna and Hamburger Helper

ü Tuna – so many uses

ü Beans – baked, kidney, chili, you name it they need beans

ü Macaroni & Cheese

ü And then there are the always dependable

ü Peanut Butter

ü Cold Cereal

Thank you for your continued support of the local Community Cupboards.  Without all of you there would be families without a warm meal tonight.

SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER Volunteers are needed for ushering, greeting, welcoming, communion servers, etc….  Please check the bulletin board by Fellowship Hall.

THEATER MINISTRY

Anyone interested in being a part of the Theater Ministry Team - this includes adults, youth and children - Please sign-up on the sheet that is on the board, call the church office or contact Wally & Mickey Schmidt – 920-982-5165.

MISSION TRIP

Are you looking for something new to do in 2012? Come and join us in St Louis on the mission trip the week of August 12th, 2012!  The trip is for ages 13 and up, and the cost is $225 per person which includes lodging, transportation and meals!  The trip this year will be similar to last year's trip with different sites for the teams, so we will have the opportunity to work in children's ministry, food pantry's, homeless shelters, elderly ministry, neighborhood clean-up, community gardening and food/water distribution centers.    To hold your spot for the trip, $25 is due at the time of sign-up, and the remaining balance is due May 1st.  All payments once made are nonrefundable.  If you have questions, please see me or you can also e-mail me at uccnlmissiontrip@yahoo.com.  Although this trip only lasts a week, the experiences you gain from it will be with you a lifetime.  Please prayerfully consider joining us on this next journey of faith!

LIFE JOURNAL GROUP

We have a new group that has started that meets at Familiar Grounds Thursday mornings 6:15-7:15am.  We utilize the 20/20/20 model that was presented in the last book we read for book study, The Devine Mentor; Growing Your Faith as You Sit at the Feet of the Savior.  For the first 20 minutes we read the scripture for the day, the next 20 minutes we journal using the SOAP method, and the last 20 minutes we spend discussing what we pulled out of the scripture.  It is a wonderful opportunity to gather with each other and our mentors in the bible each week.  All are welcome to come!  Come once or every week!  We hope to see you there!

EMAILS

With the new structure in place, we thought it important to increase are ability to communicate with each other.  To that end, we intend to use an email distribution list to facilitate quick and convenient access.  Please let me know if you prefer not to have your email address in a church distribution list.  I can be reached by email at wcedc@charter.net, or by phone at 982-7381.  Thanks.  Dave Thiel
